  • Summary: DRIV3R is an action-packed driving adventure game that recreates the excitement of a Hollywood blockbuster and plays like an interactive movie. DRIV3R stays true to its roots, incorporating the cinematic gameplay and gritty street crime of its predecessors with ground breaking graphics and three mammoth wide open city environments. Featuring Hollywood-level production values and a gripping, narrative story line, DRIV3R casts players once again as Tanner, a jaw breaking, no-holds-barred undercover cop and master "Wheelman" who does whatever it takes to bring the bad guys down. Tanner, alongside his longtime partner, Tobias, must infiltrate a global car theft ring in tire squealing chases and fierce on-foot firefights while tailing gangsters, chasing witnesses, stealing cars and unloading massive clips of ammo to bring the criminals to justice. 1. The bitter taste I had since the beginning of the game is still there.
  2. It’s not that it’s that bad of a game, it’s just that most of what’s under the hood on this one has been done before.

Almost all of the much-touted style evaporates as soon as the introductory movie is over and we're met with stiff animation, blurry textures, popping geometry, a dated engine, underwhelming vehicle sound, a stale world, kryptonite light poles, bouncing parked cars, forgettable on-foot action and only passable vehicular dynamics.
  4. Proof that not everything made in nine months is a bundle of joy. [Aug 2005, p.78]
  5. Just about as broken as it was on the Xbox and PlayStation 2 last year, and thanks to the ill-conceived introduction of a mouse and keyboard into the mix, it manages to be even worse, overall.
  6. You might be more interested to know what Driv3r isn’t though – a good game.
  7. A huge, horrible, gut-wrenching car crash, with blood-soaked teddy bears. [June 2005, p.100]

I don't get why everyone is upset on this game. i played all the games in the series and i love this one the most. It's true that the control isn't amazing, but i love the stories and the cinematics are awsome... it reminds me a bit of max payne's noir touch. I lke this game and i give it an 8. Expand

This isin't the best game, but it has something inside that keeps you playing this game until it's over. Game world are beautifull and venchicles are very great. The best two things are Cinematics and Soundtrack. I bought this game music CD and it was awesome. Play and simply enjoy it. This game isn't perfect but has a spirit. Expand

Unbelievably even worse than the console versions. Pathetic.
