In a world with fantastic technologies, the people find their future in ancient civilizations governed by mysterious hidden energies. Etrom is an epic adventure that takes you across realms and cities, through democracies and "nazi" dictatorships. It is a journey through space-time portals, amongst the Thrones of the Abyss, and beyond the gates of the City of Light. With a huge number of locations, and settings it plunges the player into a world of rituals, fraught with secret-service plots and held together by dark spells. [PM Studios] Expand

  1. I can forgive the horrible controls because so much attention was given to the story, the graphics and even the gaming experience.
  2. The usual amateurish nonsense. [May 2006, p.90]
  3. It's still ploddingly adequate in an unsurprising way, but the faults are just too many. [Sept 2006, p.72]
  4. I was exceptionally disappointed in Etrom. I wanted so desperately to love this game, as it seemed to have all the makings of a rich, rewarding play experience. (Post-apocalyptic dystopian future?? Sign me up!!) However, the ocean of poor design ideas slays all of the potential before it can even begin.
  5. Woefully dated and underwritten sub-"Diablo" hack-slashery. [June 2006, p.81]

Posing as social dystopia this game does oddly well in terms of atmosphere. Plot is so/so, but world is described pretty well. Demon magic, guns, Stupid government and so on. Graphics are comfortable enough. Lack of exploration is painful. Is this Spanish?

    Key Features:
    1. Hard beyond Hell.
Whatever people write about it, it's not true. Truth is, game is not designed for u to actually play to the end. It breaks your patience and your player experience. Nothing is easy. Controls, magic, potions, BULLETS, maps, quests, teleports, shops, stats, special demonability. Dont install for kids, animals or pregnant women.

    2. Strange.
Game is f**king strange to the point of no return.

BUT, the oddly told narrative, the constantly looping, uncreative music, and the repetitive, boring combat forced me to abandon this game. I really wanted to continue on to find out more about the setting and the story, but it was just all to much for me to bear. Expand
