  • Summary: F1 World Grand Prix is the follow to "Official Formula 1 Racing." This new game in the franchise will feature all the teams, drivers, and circuits from the 1999 Formula 1 season. A host of graphical and gameplay improvements have been added while retaining the speed, intuitiveness, and fun offered by the first game. Expand

Simply the best F1 graphics to date, particularly if you have a fast machine and a T&L card.
  2. A fairly well-developed game. It looks great and is to some degree fun to play. There is however, little that is new to racing games.
  3. Pretty and promising, "F1 World Grand Prix" stands as a good middle ground between arcade and simulation open-wheeled racing.
  4. If a game doesn't bring anything new to the table, one must wonder why the developers even bothered in the first place.

Why have I written a review for a game that came out 7 years ago? I guess I really had nothing else better to do. Having played just about every F1 simulation ever made this title certainly ranks as one of the worst. The cars handle like crap and the AI is putrid. The graphics are ok for a year 2000 title but the framerates sucked even on top rigs. Overall a completely forgettable game that should have never been granted an F1 license. My recommendations from that era would be F1 Racing Simulation, Monaco Grand Prix 2 or Crammond's Grand Prix 3. Expand
