  1. The best game out there for casual players, or players new to the simulation genre.

Although this is a great game, I’m not sure if it’s a great 40 dollar game. With no online component other than an online leaderboard and some very simple yet addicting gameplay, perhaps 40 bucks is stretching it.
  3. It has a gorgeous engine which lets you create stunning scenes with your towns and cities. Anyone with a flare for simpler Latin times or who really enjoy city builders – you don’t want to miss out on this.
  4. If you are looking at making the game even more authentic, you can play the entire game in Latin. You can either use this to help hone your Latin skills or if you are just going for something different.
  5. Pelit (Finland)
Looks beautiful, but is otherwise a by-the-numbers building game. Fun, but provides no almost no challenge at all. [Aug 2006, p.42]
  6. The constant strategic thinking and planning required to keep things moving forward are well balanced and will draw players in very quickly.

Veterans who stick with the game will definitely be rewarded with some charming and memorable moments but they may be better off holding out to see how the other Roman city games shape up later this year.
  8. Packs a lot of value, and is certainly something every fan of the city building genre should look closely at. It looks good, and is mostly a real treat to sit down and play with. However, it's overall difficulty is low, and occasionally gameplay touches on the tedious.
