  • Summary: In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simmering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again. In the game, players return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory.     Electronic Arts has proved how to make a good use of a character license, offering hours of fun and a magic world to explore.

    Nice open world approach for fans. Aged graphics, ugly cutscenes and an unprecise handling however make it hard to appreciate the good sound and music and the nice atmosphere.

    A fun movie tie-in game, and it certainly lives up to what is expected of it. Although it isn’t terribly long or deep, it will give fans of the series some solid gameplay , and it certainly isn’t too challenging for younger fans who might want to play it.

    It was an ok game. It looked good, Had good sound effects/sound track as well. The controls suffered a bit and it was hard to aim spells and perform them. Yet the biggest problem of this game was that it lacked content. Yes you could join clubs but most of the time they were over as soon as you started them. The story was insanely short and limited to a small handful of missions. It would have been a lot better had there been more things to do.… Collapse

    Not that bad, A lot better then the previous game but still needs quite a bit of work. It lacks content and really doesnt justify playing it beyond beating the campaign and clubs.… Expand

    Mini games are fun to play and it's easily one of the better of the HP games you will play. However, it's incredibly short and honestly takes 6-7 hours to complete all the mini games as well as the campaign. No replay value either. You simply do not get enough bang for your buck.… Expand
