This is going to be heretical for some hardcore HOMM fans. Tribes turns 5 into a game that is BETTER than III. 5 on its own is not as good as 3. It has similar mechanics, dodgy camera angles, a "meh" campaign (with some difficulty spikes that are legendary) and a lack of a decent skirmish mode. Tribes fixes this. It's quick, precise and smart. However - with 5 - if you can handle the "World of Warcraft" style graphics - and get the Tribes expansion - it's arguably a better game. Expand

Beyond discussion the best of Heroes of Might and Magic part by the time (actually still is). It was a shot at 10 with those wild tribes. Every gamer will be pleased.

The last great title of the Heroes of Might & Magic series. In my opinion, this stand-alone expansion put the game on par with Heroes II and III, the best in the series.
Heroes VI and VII failed miserably, so if you want to enjoy the last epic title of the series (and the only one worth playing in 3d), then go ahead and buy this one!

Jus when i thought it couldn't get any better after Hammers of Fate, i was proven wrong by this expansion. Again, a new faction with completely unique features, like shattering magic or blood rage, new campaign, and third level of creatures, which brought new life into the game.

This is the climax to the Heroes 5 series. The new faction is one of my favorites to play, the single player is the best in the series (which isn

Tribes Of The East is more than a mere expansion. It elevates the original games quality to much higher standarts and with this expansion the game becomes a better game than the most fans' favourite HOMM3. An epic game all in all.

An excellent buy. It boasts a variety of new creatures and even better graphics. The new Orcs faction and alternative upgrades add a new dimension to the gameplay. Highly recommended.

Tribes of the East is easy to recommend to players who missed the core game and want to check out what Heroes of Might & Magic is all about. The stand alone nature of the pack and its thirty-dollar price tag makes it an easy buy.
  2. All of which amounts to new levels, harder difficulty, and not much else. This is pretty much the template for second expansion packs these days, so Tribes of the East is at least somewhat trendy. Nevertheless, you can't praise this mediocre add-on for fitting in with the cool kids. Nival should have finished the Heroes V series on a higher note than this.
  3. A solid follow-up to an already engaging franchise. Players with a lot of time invested in Heroes of Might and Magic V are going to appreciate the engine tweaks and thoroughly enjoy giving it a go with the Orcs.
