  • Summary: The player can control any of 4 commando members from several different 3D views and, at the same time, program tasks for the rest of the team on a tactical map. Carefully edge your way through enemy territory, hoping you aren't detected by enemy German soldiers en route. In order to survive, you need to inch your way forward, keeping out of sight, using binoculars or a sniper scope to make sure the coast is clear. [Take 2 Interactive] Expand

  1. Despite a few minor flaws in mechanics and a lingering bug or two, Hidden & Dangerous is one of the best games ever created, and playing it an experience I shall always treasure.
  2. A hell of a game, although some of the missions, in addition to being hard, are frustrating due to various bugs that just end up infuriating the gamer.
  3. The game looks good and feels convincing, and although it's unstable and flawed and otherwise every bit as difficult as you would expect, Hidden & Dangerous is nonetheless an impressive and uniquely serious depiction of squad-level combat behind enemy lines.

I give it a 10. why?? because it is now a free download. it has been patched up to version 1.51 and is 99% free from all the pesky bugs of the initial release. kick ass game, but beware the indoor levels (just 1 or 2) they will make you motion sick in 1st person. other than that great free game that will challenge you and co-op on a lan is a blast. H&D and its sequel are 2 of the most underrated games ever made. Everybody should play this game- especially as the first one is available as a free download. Its fantastically atmospheric with wonderful level design. If it wasn't for those pesky ladders i'd probably vote it my favourite game of all time. Expand
