You must bring a diverse cast of followers to your settlement, and then carefully select members of your village to join you on expeditions of exploration and conquest in the surrounding lands. There, you will encounter the characters and creatures of myth and folklore, and find much needed resources to expand your village, from iron to make weapons to a mystic tome to entice a great mage to join you. Should your forays meet with success, fame, fortune and prosperity await. But you must take care, for even the loss of a lowly farmer can spell disaster at harvest time. [Got Game] Expand

  1. Orc Lords doesn't reinvent the genre, but it doesn't have to. It keeps us busy, entertained, and challenged.
  2. RTS fans and newcomers alike can pick it up, play it, and enjoy it. Accessibility is its greatest asset, and while there’s no denying the fun, there is little to call “outstanding,” either.
  3. Hinterland: Orc Lords plays like a remake of a very old game, but for once, that's mostly a good thing.

A strange and fun mix of city-builder/strategy/isometric Diablo-esque adventure works surprisingly well. Hinterlands doesn't do any of these extraordinarily well, but it has enough depth and charm to fill the void until Elemental Fallen Enchantress Alpha is released. With some more development and higher budget this game could have been great instead of good. I would be willing to pay a higher price for a slightly more polished version of this game. The developers at Got Game are definitely on the right track though. I'm interested in seeing more from them. Expand
