  • Summary: A true add-on pack (you must own the original to play it!) to Majesty, a Y2K sleeper which was a unique blend of strategy, role-playing, and city-building games (but considered way too short by critics), Northern Expansion adds 13 new and more difficult quests and an enhanced multiplayer experience. Newbies probably need not apply. Expand

  1. This add-on blows a crisp northern breath of life into the original game and the snow-capped mountains offer tests of skill, endurance and patience.

It's still a very solid game with a great premise and interesting style of play that you just gotta love, but the lack of new friendly units and the slowdown that puts you in slow motion at times is a bit annoying.
  3. Isn't the greatest expansion pack around. However, it only costs $20, and although it only has 12 quests, those quests should give you 50 hours or more of gameplay.
  4. The extra missions would have really helped flesh out the original. But it's not really worth a second price of admission. Wait for this one to hit the bargain bin, or if you don't have the original, wait for the inevitable "bundle."

Insanely hard in my opinion, but then again, you could complete the original missions in 2-3 days with a little persistence. This expansion pack really adds to the game. More items to aid your heroes. More missions in different environment. And most importantly, the added difficulty of the new missions. With it's unique and rewarding gameplay which screams replayability, I'm baffled this game wasn't received better. Collapse
