If you were to take someone who’s played his share of shooters, someone who cares about the story between and around the shooting, someone who can appreciate games that offer new takes on familiar experiences, Crysis [3] will feel like a soulless blockbuster to the auteur’s art film of Metro: Last Light.
Ótimo game, ótima ambientação.
Missões fora da trama principais são muito boas, sendo a minha preferida a do museu onde você tem que encontrar itens enquanto sobrevive ao próprio ambiente.
Far from the appeal of a Fallout 3, Metro Last Light bets on a really dark and nerve racking post-apocalyptic ambiance. This undoubtedly is the strong point of the game, but not the only one. The latest 4A's Games subtly mixes gunfights, stealth approach and storyline that confirm the literary roots of the script. Offering good immersion despite some minor problems with the AI, the game leads the player in a very intricate world. A world where the beauty of the graphics allows to forget about the drawbacks mentioned, especially on PC with potent graphics cards where the game can be put through its paces. If the fans of Metro 2033 will swear at the distribution method of the "Ranger" mode, they can be reassured, Metro Last Light is as good as it's prequel, and maybe even better.
It's still a fantastic game that follows in the footsteps of great Russian-style FPS games before it, and the added polish, fantastic visuals, and supernatural story elements help keep things fresh.
The numerous aesthetic accomplishments and mechanical improvements in Metro: Last Light are undone by uneven attention to detail and a lack of player agency.
A good quality game. Everything is within the genre. For me, the main advantage is the atmosphere.
The downside is the very low difficulty, despite the fact that I chose the maximum with a limited interface. Primitive plot.
I bought the Redux bundle of this title with 2033 discounted on Steam, because the reviews are very good & I thought it looked liked the Fallout series. However, after 2 hours of game play I still can't figure out what I'm supposed to do.
The character controls keep turning on & off (sometimes the character can no longer jump or run, or access weapons.) Sometimes the character moves of it's own accord as all controls functions are disconnected from the player. Sometimes weapons are changed for no apparent reason.
I feel like I'm involved in a walkthrough, with occasional partial control of a character. There is zero option for thinking in this game. The environment is controlled so one cannot explore or move around freely. I really have little idea what this game is about. There's so little interaction between myself & the character I have partial control over that I cannot remotely get immersed. There is occasional action which is usually gunfire, but I just end up randomly shooting anything in site that moves since I don't know what I'm supposed to be achieving, & cannot tell what is or is not an enemy.
I think the game is over-priced, since it's only partially a game. It's mostly a kind of interactive movie. I am disappointed that I paid £16.99 for this & 2033, & that at half price. After 2 hours of trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do, I've resigned to the fact that I'll have to be told by a voice all the way through the game what I have to do all of the time. This is very childish. So utterly bored I won't even bother with trying 2033. A total waste of money.
My 4 review points go totally to graphics which are okay.
This is by far the worst rail game I have ever played. Follow the straight line, no choices, no exploring. I am amazed how many people loved this subpar effort in video gaming.
SummaryThe year is 2034. Beneath the rubble of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of our species are besieged by deadly threats. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are engaged in a strugg...
