  • Summary: You, as Nancy Drew, go to Hawaii to serve as a research assistant to Dr. Quigley Kim. A devastating scourge is destroying the pineapple crop causing residents to whisper that a local research compound has awoken the legendary Kane Okala. Upon arriving, she discovers the camp ravaged with Dr. Kim missing. 1. It's a guilty pleasure, but one with good puzzles. [Mar 2007, p.72]
  2. While the tropical environment is inviting, and the game honestly isn’t all that bad, it’s a bit expensive for such a short diversion, and most gamers will probably go for something with a little more substance for the same price.
  3. Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave provided me with about 5 hours of gentle entertainment, and no doubt it will take longer than that for novice players.
  4. With some enhanced animations and cutscenes, this entry is better than the last game but shorter in duration, and continues to rely a little too heavily on chores than actual detective work.

I agree. All of them seem too short to me, though. This one, however, had less diversions. That was disappointing. The load of chores and projects got boring fast. Although I enjoyed the frass part of it. Expand

This was a bit of a dissapointment. It was short, and the few puzzles were repeats of puzzles in other ND games. When the end came I was surprised for two reasons, 1) I thought I had a lot more to do, and 2) it was horribly abrupt. The graphics were well done and I liked the addition of the Hardy Boys, but overall I was really dissapointed. Expand
