  • Summary: In Nitro Family, players take on the role of Victor Chopski, with Maria, his piggy-backing wife, watching his back with her turtle-neck whip. Through progressive cut scenes, the full 15 level storyline unfolds and players must avenge the kidnapping of the Chopski's son against a shady underground of drugs and corruption. Armed with a unique dual-hand weapon system, players rack up kills against advancing hordes of 50 enemies and bosses suspending them in mid-air with a remorseless stream of bullets. For ultimate single player destruction, or via internet multiplayer game play through GameSpy, gamers can unleash a joyful barrage of gunfire in Euphoria mode, where the action moves in slow motion, but the revenge killin' intensifies. 1. Positive: 1 out of 4
  2. Negative: 1 out of 4
  1. It’s the most fun I’ve had without getting naked.
  2. The overall impression left by Nitro Family is that it needed a little more polish, an opinion which is reinforced by the fact that you only have co-op mode as a multiplayer option.
  3. Not only are its production values low, but also its design decisions are questionable. None of the many highly touted injected wrinkles - the mini-games, Euphoria mode slowdown, cash purchase system, or whip-toting sidekick - have the desired positive effects on the gameplay.
