Jul 6, 2011FBI problem-solver Nelson Tethers is back for more of the same in Puzzle Agent 2.
-
Jul 5, 2011There are only 35 puzzles, many of them are poorly designed, and the story isn't too impressive.
-
Jul 6, 2011Even with its slicker production, PA2 still manages to feel a bit more muddled than its predecessor.
-
Jul 6, 2011a very enjoyable game. The puzzles will keep players on their toes, and the story is interesting and entertaining. The price is totally right and for what you get; it's definitely worth the price.
-
Jul 6, 2011The puzzles featured in Puzzle Agent 2 are not bad overall. They simply could have been so much better. Rather than being the perfectly cooked, delicious steak that you miss immediately after you finish, they are the breakfast cereal that is palatable and will tide you over until lunch time.

games(TM)Aug 8, 2011Manages to be inviting without being too condescending. [Issue#112, p.124]
-
Aug 7, 2011Puzzle Agent 2 definitely was a fun experience though I felt that it was over way too fast. Don't get me wrong; I actually really enjoyed the experience and for $10 dollars the price can't be beat. I definitely would look forward to another sequel. Puzzle Agent 2 has the right blend of suspense, puzzle solving, and Minnesota charm; don't you know.
-
Sep 21, 2011Overall, Puzzle Agent 2 is something of a mixed bag. If you're a hardcore puzzle solver who misses the complexity of games like The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, then Puzzle Agent 2 might not provide you with anything to get excited about. But if you're a casual gamer looking for something more charming than challenging, then Puzzle Agent 2 might be right up your ally, and well worth its $10 price tag.
-
Jul 18, 2011Puzzle Agent 2 is a little step forward in comparison to the pilot episode with a more involving story, better puzzles and a general good atmosphere; only too casual and too short.
-
Aug 24, 2011A cute, quirky, and almost-too-simple puzzler, Puzzle Agent 2 (mostly) scratches the brain-burner itch.
-
PC GamerAug 11, 2011It's a poor follow-up: the biggest puzzle is how, with the Layton games to steal ideas from, it gets the basics so wrong. [Oct 2011. p.76]
-
Aug 22, 2011Full of surprises and crazy conspiracies Bigfoot breeding? Lunacy weapon? Fake moon landings? Aliens among us? Puzzle Agent 2 contains a decent story along with a unique art presentation and plenty of mind-taxing puzzles to twist the second tale of Tethers into a title sure to entertain and challenge casual puzzle gaming aficionados.
-
CD-ActionAug 2, 2011Puzzle Agent 2 combines brilliant story and clever puzzles – and that's the Holy Grail of adventure games. It does, however, recycle some of the challenges from its predecessor. [August 2011, p.50]
-
Jul 11, 2011A weekend's worth of entertainment for just under US$10, or a week's worth of casual gaming. If puzzles are your thing, it's worth a look.
-
Jul 24, 2011Due to its comical demeanor, childish puzzles, brief length, and its absence of violence and crude language, Puzzle Agent 2 would be best enjoyed by the adolescent demographic, or by those looking for pure casual fun. For the more seasoned puzzle fanatic, or those who would expect more from a name like 'Puzzle Agent', may do well to spend their ten bucks elsewhere.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Aug 29, 2011More puzzles, even more crazy cases. Puzzle Agent 2 successfully balances between horror and Monty Python style of humor. Better play the first part before – lots of connections to previous game here. [Issue#207]
-
Jul 19, 2011If you were to summarise it in a puzzle, Puzzle Agent 2 would be a paint-by-numbers picture: formulaic, messy, and unable to hold the attention of all but the most easily perplexed.
-
Sep 16, 2011Puzzle Agent 2 does nothing to differentiate itself from what it's predecessor did a year ago. It offers the same structure, the same length and the same types of puzzles. Unfortunately, it ends up seeming more like the second half of a complete work than a whole new adventure.
-
Jul 20, 2011The bigger issue is that I rarely found the puzzles particularly challenging.
-
Jul 5, 2011Puzzle Agent 2 is by no means perfect but it does improve on the first Puzzle Agent and demonstrates the potential of the series.
-
Jul 11, 2011Releasing for a budget price doesn't excuse mediocre puzzle design, heavy repetition and a story with so little coherence.
-
Jul 8, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
