If you must have a fishing game and you are turned off by the technical aspects Atlus’ Pro Fishing Challenge then the accessibility and fairly simple game play of Pro Fishing is a decent fallback.

Little ho, hum. Has good graphics for some things and not too good for others. Not modable so the fishng areas get boring pretty soon. Decent Little ho, hum. Has good graphics for some things and not too good for others. Not modable so the fishng areas get boring pretty soon. Decent way to spend an extra hour or so but it could be a lot more. Guide drives you crazy after a while so you'll want to stuff a tackle box in his mouth but it works better to just turn him off in the settings. Expand

Really difficult to keep slack out of the line. Unrealistic response from the fish. Can anyone make a decent tournament fishing sim that Really difficult to keep slack out of the line. Unrealistic response from the fish. Can anyone make a decent tournament fishing sim that doesn't include twangy redneck music and a big mouth guide? How about a sim where people can start off with almost nothing but some gear and a fairly decent fishing boat, then collect sponsors as they rank higher and higher? This game has way too much overriding control of the fisherman. The guide treats you like an idiot. Expand
