The problem with Rock Manager is that once you create the song, there aren’t that many things to do, and what you can do doesn’t change much from scenario to scenario, and so it gets repetitive.
Rock Manager does truly emulate the music industry: it's the equivalent of a CD where the first tracks are the best and the rest is all filler.
Its simple, entertaining mix of humour and management is addictive in the short-term, and it'll make a perfect impulse buy for those looking for something a little bit different.
Don’t bother with Rock Manager unless you’re a huge music industry fan.
With a total of four hours of gameplay (eight if you count the times technical failings made me repeat the first half), you don't get much for your money. [Oct 2002, p.110]
