This is a good fun, except for those who look for something that feels like the first episode in the series. It's less RPG and more action, but if you're OK with that, it deserves a try.
As regular readers will know I am prone to being rather critical of the foibles of the average filth that corrupts our computers. However this is a work of art which is so masterfully put together and so well crafted that I hesitate to even call it a game, as it is more of a life experience. To be frank I feel that a lot of the negative reviews here come from a position of mere ignorance, as the average mindless consumer is not able to fully comprehend the intricacies and depth of this masterpiece. As a games designer, with an IQ of 160 I feel that to be frank I am uniquely qualified to put forth an objective opinion. To even attempt to describe the bliss that it is to play this game would be frankly impossible. Suffice to say the game play is entirely immersive and the the story allows you to experience a full universe in which you feel as if you are merely one part of the intricate machinery of life.
This game deserve a score of around 6, but since user reviewers are so stupid I'll compensate.
No, this game is NOT a sequel to Sacred 1/2. It doesn't have free roaming, doesn't have inventory, doesn't have a complex leveling system and doesn't have any questing. It's a different game genre altogether.
On the other hand, the game is quite good. Graphics are nice, everything is super smooth, I haven't seen any bugs. The combat gameplay is very good and satisfying. Boss battles are nice. There's enough different attacks pattern not to be bored.
This is a game made to play using a gamepad and not keyboard/mouse combo like previous games.
Is it also the best game released lately for LOCAL COOP. You can play with a friend as a brainless hack and slashing monsters and it's quite fun. Something that can't really happen in more complex games like the previous titles.
One negative aspect are the dialogs. I never heard such bad sentence in a game. As if everything say was written by 12 year old girls.
Considering the scope of its predecessors and how far the genre has come since the series’ inception a decade ago, that’s as unnecessary as it is unwelcome. Still, there’s potential here and approached with the right mindset and a group of friends there’s some fun to be had. Streamline your expectations, in other words, and you’re more likely to view Sacred 3 as slick rather than shallow.
However hard you may try you will not find any reason to play Sacred 3. It is completely unclear why it deserves full price, when its natural place is among the f2p mobile games. There’s nothing left in Sacred 3 that we used to love in previous installments. And there’s nothing new that could inspire our love for the Sacred 3. [Oct 2014, p.92]
Sacred 3 has the skeleton of a fun co-op hack 'n' slash experience, but it's marred by too much repetition, balance issues, and the worst comedy routine this side of Open Mic Night at the Middle of Nowhere Comedy Shack.
I dont know why people hate this game so much. Yes, its very different to Sacred 2. But to me, its a good thing. Great action game, deserved the time and money, its not the most unique, deep or long game, but its really fun and different. Devs could be more active on the forums, I mean, active at all. Its a game deserving 7 or 7.5 but with so many 0... Unfair 0s..I felt compelled to give it 10!
Just an advice, watch some youtube videos before you buy as it could be not you cup of tea. Also, shop for the better deal.
I'm satisfied with the game. I prefer Sacred 2 by a long shot, but this is an enjoyable game for those of us who have done all we care to with Diablo 3. I do wish there was more content and more of an open world. It's much more streamlined and did away with confusing and often broken systems. The humor is intact, the graphics and the gameplay are excellent. It's definitely different than the previous entries -- probably because it had a different publisher. I hope they take the criticism and make a Sacred 4 that's much more like 2 -- but unfortunately, this may be the death of the series. That would be sad -- this is one of my favorite franchises of all time.
Don't waste your time reading "not Sacred" reviews, those just doesn't matter
The game is a bit good. Graphics are OK, it's easy to play, and really feels like it should be played with more people
The cutscenes are pretty good, and the whole game is filled with humor - though that can get tedious sometimes
On the other hand, the combat doesn't get more interesting. You unlock a couple of new skills, but you still end up using standard attack a lot more. There's no customization either, which makes me sad
It's not bad, but overpriced. Wait for a sale and buy it
The Sacred series in the past contained rpg elements, open world, and tons of loot and missions. Sacred 3 has none of these. Not even remotely close. This looks more like Sacred Citadel 2, and I can only assume the company decided to base Sacred 3 off of Sacred Citadel rather than the Sacred series. This is a pathetic attempt **** and they should be ashamed of what they TRULY did: trick us into thinking they made another Sacred title for the sake of GREED.
The main problem of this game is that was sold as a "Diablo" clone but it is a "God of War" or "Dante's Inferno", only action with some skill customization. But even if we make the comparison with its correct genre competitors, it is still better to play any others.
SummaryAfter decades of peace a new shadow is cast over the world of Ancaria. Only if the clans from across the lands combine their skills the glimmer of hope left within the resistance will ignite a fierce battle for peace.
