I love this game. It really feels much more alive with player driven cities, guild combat, etc...

Several patches later, the game is much better shape. The lag isn't as bad, it actually plays on Radeon cards better now, and errors aren't as common. If you like PVP or buildings cities, give it a try. If you left earlier because of technical problems, it's worth another look.

A lot of fun! A great burnout buster for EQ, DAoC, and AC fans alike.

FREE FREE FREE- Now that the game is completely FREE its amazing!!! Try it what do you have to loose now that its Free. Overall great game if you like PvP, which who shouldn't, it gives you reason to really want to come back because it makes it much more fun. If you dont know what PvP is go download the game for Freee.

Such a great game once they got their servers stable. Was a rough release with the servers not able to handle the player load in large sieges. When it went free went back to it and had insane amounts of fun.

Its innovation definitely injects a shot of adrenaline into a genre that desperately needed it. [June 2003, p.78]

The player guild experience is the Shadowbane experience. Get involved with a good one and depth of gameplay becomes clear. Get involved with a bad one and you'll never get past the same old monster farming you've seen before. [July 2003, p.68]

The game looks and feels dated. The colors are drab, and the world lacks character. Nothing here looks state of the art, yet the system requirements are quite high.
