40Free Time is so uninspiring compared to some other Sims add-ons. The combination of developing your hobbies, making a career and maintaining your Sims is a difficult one. The add-on adds little to the concept. Only for Sims-addicts.
-
The existence of sims comprised mostly of the same actions repeated over and over again gains some more colour now that cooking and cleaning up can be taken up as hobbies. Career and romance become even easier thanks to a new batch of options directed at starting and improving the relationships. There is nothing revolutionary in this rather utilitarian add-on, but if I can have a good time fixing the microwave, why not? [March 2008]

80Free Time is an expansion pack that goes beyond what it at first appears. Far from limiting itself to the 10 new activities, it adds quite a few touches not immediately noticeable, that manage to deepen the experience.
