I love this game! Almost at the end now and it has taken me ages!!! The Spirit Engine 2 is a real challenge. I love the retro graphics and the turn based combat. It requires a lot of strategical thinking. If you liked the first game then you will definitely like this too. Expand

The Spirit Engine 2 is the definition of what turn based combat should be. It has strategy, complexity, and a visceral experience as well. I really like the story and characters and the different environments of the setting. It's a big improvement over TSE1 and it's free to play all the way. You've got nothing to lose, so try it out! Good gameplay with lots of hours of fun to be had, and this is a rare quality game that is completely free on PC. It has a cool atmosphere and some deep RPG elements. 10/10. Expand

Now this is coming from someone who hasn't really played any turn based RPG's besides the first spirit engine which by the way is great i hope you download it but we are talking the spirit engine 2 here so let me get stared on why i like this game so much. You stared off with 3 classed and in each class their is 3 characters you can pick 3 people of your choice. Each character has 10 or more abilities. The decoration of stats and art style has being improved from the last game the environments are very varied uniquely imaginative and look awesome also the quantity of number in the stats has being enlarged. The gameplays unique in it's own special way it's formed on a 2d platform on the left is your 3 party members on the right are generally 2-3 enemies at a time you select an attack for each party members the moves depends on which enemies your facing you can pause the game at anytime to select different moves briefly you can also change the speed of the fight from fast to slow. You can switch around your party member if one party member is on low HP you can rotate he or she to the back so they won't get attacked. the combat has heaps of variation and depth and challenge mostly challenge. unlike the first spirit engine which was thrillingly hard this game has multiple difficulty levels but even on the easiest difficulty level this game with break your innocent human mind with insane hardness it requires you to stop and think on multiple occasion I'm actually surprise i eventually bested this fun beast and that's coming from someone that's played the entire on easy mode which is way harder than it sounds i bet 90% of you people won't even get past the game's first level on medium difficulty but on easy mode i did find it easier than the first spirit engine not exactly a negative just not the same just be happy it has hardness at all unlike most modern games. the creatures design looks patty cool especially the boss all the boss fights are very well done and feel balance. the characters are interesting and the story has of length entertainment and theirs a lot and a lot of dialogue in this game and none of it is yawn material it's a very well written game sadly the game isn't voice acted at all but is a small complaint. the games ending is superb just like all of this game and with that i recommend this great game to thee it's a true masterpiece.
