  1. Should be seen as the greatest game in a long line of excellent golf titles. This game is the culmination of six years of genre dominance. The new team game modes are fresh and fun, while the structure of the Team Tour is a perfect blend of team management and in-game strategy.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is the greatest Tiger yet, but it's starting to feel like season five of The Sopranos. It's still the greatest show on TV, but it's starting to feel a bit stale.
  3. Though Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 doesn't offer anything approaching a revolution in golfing, whether you play your way to the ranked online leaderboards, or just hammer it out with a buddy on the same system, it's truly a pleasure from start to finish.
  4. While Tiger 07 is as good as ever, it's also the same as ever, making it hard to recommend, despite its manifold pleasures. [Nov 2006, p.90]
  5. It's a good golf game, admittedly, but it's also unnecessarily ugly. [Dec 2006, p.108]
  6. The recently released "ProStroke Golf" demonstrated how a more advanced control system can work on consoles, and playing Tiger Woods 07 does feel like a slight step back. At the same time, the controls have a simplicity to them that makes the game easy to play, and there is level of depth to the control and shot choice for the more serious players.
  7. Until things change, this series is treading water, and it's a tough sell at $40. [Jan. 2007, p.53]

If you judge it on its own merits, this is actually quite a good game. The visuals are attractive, the physics are spot-on, and the controls work very well, particularly mouse swing which makes this feel more like a simulation than a game. Of course, it's a slight update over previous years, so if you own the 05 or 06 editions (and especially the 06 edition) then you'll probably want to hang on to your money unless you find this super cheap--and even then it may not be worth it. If, however, you're new to PC golfing, or you own an older golf sim then this is pretty easy to recommend. Expand

Did you like TW PGA 2004/2005/ and '06

    Yes ?

Then you'll like this - it has some new touches (team play) Slightly better
graphics and a lot more courses and players BUT

It isn't the leap forward we had with 2003 to 2004, if you want to play solo then these (now very cheap) titles may be for you.

If your new to TW and want the best game (which it just about is) and want to go online (all the golf junkies switch to the new version pretty darn quick) then get this one.

    Nuff said.

Sure, buy this game ONLY if you have no recent "TW" title in your library. Because-it's-almost-the-same-game. The dated engine alone is the p*ss poorest demonstration yet of the "we didn't need to bother" attitude from a major publisher. The most convincing argument in PC gaming, that if their ain't no competition, there ain't no reason to improve. Ironic really, that the guy on the cover still has the wizardry and competitive edge to remain at the top, in what is argueably the most difficult of all games to master. Expand

Very disappointing. Seems TW is at en end. It's as if the maker couldn't be bothered so they just took TW06 and changed a couple of things and hey presto. Still the same dreary commentators. How many time do we have to listen to Garry Mccord. Saying. "Doing things the hardway, You know like standing on a row boat. And in the amateur round playing so many rounds without as much as one comment or a spectotor was totally boring and spoiled the game entirely. I must also say that I thought they graphics where actually worse than before. As I understood it there was supposed to be an improvement. Lets get some immagination for the next one please. Add new commentators , new layout etc. Game bee the same more or less for the past 3 to 4 years. Time for a change. TW2005 still rates as the best game ever in my books.TW06/07 are no comparison to 2005. Expand

Zero for effort. This game is an absolute clone of TW2006. No improvments whatsoever. One or two tiny add-ons, but nothing that even remotely makes the game more than a $5 expansion pack. Don't waste your money. Expand
