  • Summary: Featuring eight massive levels filled with people, traffic, and other interactive elements, the game's environments are brought to life with richer graphics and advanced special effects optimized for today's PC video cards. Smoother life-like animations and significantly improved tricks capture the style of the world's best skateboarding pros. Further improving on the franchise's intuitive control scheme, the game allows players to perform tricks and combos in some of the world's most popular skate locations including Los Angeles, Canada and Tokyo. The enhanced skate park editor allows gamers to create the ultimate park up to twice the size of parks in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. The Create-A-Skater features a new female skater model, and the ability to modify almost every aspect of their appearance, from accessories to clothing to hair color. [Activision] Expand

My weapon of choice is the PS2, mostly because of the Dual Shock 2, which I think is the perfect controller for THPS3...While the network play [of the PC version] is damn fun, I'm not sure if it's robust enough to warrant the $50.00-or-so expenditure.

The graphics on the PC version are by far the best.
  3. Gearbox have done an excellent job with the PC conversion and any PC gamer will love this game. Just don't forget your gamepad.
  4. As good as, if not better, than the original Playstation 2 best-seller. [July 2002, p.79]
  5. It's superb. [June 2002, p.90]
  6. The PC can support insanely high resolutions that put even the Xbox to shame. The frame rate is better on the PC, as well.
  7. The PC version has a few advantages to set it apart from its brethren, but not so much as to make the other 5 versions pointless.

Playing /w full details @1280x1024 is real fun. The graphics are good looking and the actual feeling of the game is a great one, too - even with an ordinary keyboard! wtf needs a lousy gamepad? :) Expand

An awsome game, I have it permenantly installed on my laptop. It's got great gameplay, acceptable graphics, low system requirements and most importanly for laptops, it can be entirely controled with the keyboard, making it great for playing, well on your lap. Buy it (it's pretty cheap atm) Expand
