  1. It's as realistic as a virtual coaster could possibly be, and once it's over, you can't wait to get back in line to ride it again.

Succeeds where "Rollercoaster Tycoon" and even "Sim Theme Park" failed—it gives you the true sensation of riding a rollercoaster, the logical tools to build them, and the ability to show your work quickly and easily.
  3. Graphics are really high quality...Sound is probably the worst aspect in the entire game.

You can "create the ultimate coaster -- and ride it!" But at the same time you can do very little else, and while the ride might be the ultimate, too much else just seems to be missing.
  5. Designing a coaster has never been easier, and the circuit-closing auto-finish feature is a stroke of genius. [Holiday 2001, p.76]
  6. The clunky construction interface offers no way to replace a section of track other than erasing and rebuilding every single piece that comes after it, making spontaneous adjustments a chore. [Dec 2001, p.115]
  7. What Ultimate Ride does, it does pretty well. The problem is that it does so very, very little. And with an entrance fee of $40, there should be much, much more: people in foam rubber animal costumes, women flashing their breasts on the log ride, kids barfing during the loops, etc.

This game is kinda fun but. It really hasn't changed since Disney's last release of a coaster game. When I got my pentium 150mhz This game is kinda fun but. It really hasn't changed since Disney's last release of a coaster game. When I got my pentium 150mhz aptiva years ago it came with Disney software like this. In fact, that game had features this one didn't! Collapse
