A masterful lesson on what a game can be. Totally agree w/ the other user review. Its a great game and no game leaves you with such a sense of satisfaction if you actually complete it. The only con would be is that there won't be 100 sequels like there are for so much of the unforgivable garbage that most game developers are producing. Very cool.

Beautiful..... Engaging.......Frustrating......... Rewarding. It's everything you want in an adventure game. Complex puzzles.....interesting storyline and ultimately very rewarding. When I'm done, I'm going to start the whole Uru saga over again. Did I mention it's beautiful? The graphics are stunning!!

Solving The Path of the Shell without a walkthrough will require endless patience and the ability to brainstorm in four dimensions. [Nov 2004, p.88]

It's mysterious and satisfying. It fulfills its promise of delivering an immersive, unforgettable journey. It even delivers a few great surprises for old-school Myst nuts. It's an adventure gamer's wet dream.
  3. Interface problems, relatively brief and inconclusive gameplay, repetitive backtracking, and uneven puzzles detract from your enjoyment.
