  1. By combining a solid space flight/combat game with a solid mission structure, Battlestar gives players a fun experience.
  2. 80
There’s nothing particularly special here for classic TV fans, but classic shooter fans will find a battle worth fighting.
  3. 74
A decent space shooter that will probably disappoint hardcore fans of the show who would want more of the magic that made the show so endearing.
  4. Despite a solid structure, the key appeal (and focus) of the game’s presentation is to the gamer looking to re-immerse themselves again in the mythos surrounding Battlestar Galactica, and without that sense of nostalgia, it becomes a lot harder to forgive some of the game’s more glaring flaws.
  5. Will prove too frustrating for most gamers. It is best left to Galactica buffs who know the difference between a dagget and a Cylon and who are looking for any nostalgia fix that they can get their hands on.
  6. Ugly and smelly enough that only a dedicated few should bring it home. [Jan 2004, p.135]
  7. But if you're the type that will get a kick out of watching the fighters launch from the tubes on the titular ship (and those launches look a lot like they did on the TV show), and you long to put those one-eyed robots in their place, this game will entertain you enough to feed your nostalgic cravings even if none of the characters or even the robots look all that familiar.

Not only are you watching your back, but the backs of your team mates, who seem not to give a hoot about yours! If only the missions were shorter, or you could save more often... Collapse
