  1. The unique features this game has, like the spectacular physics and item creation system, push it past the run-of-the-mill shooters into a category just under the truly elite.
  2. The option to use realistic damage will reward all that time spent in the single-player game nailing head shots too. Those of you with a Multitap will have great fun here. [PSW]
  3. Sure, the story is hackneyed to the point of being a rip-off of just about every spy movie from the past ten years, but the script is great, the acting is better, and the gameplay just can’t be beat.

Immensely playable...Easily the most enjoyable first-person shooter available for the PS2. [June 2005, p.74]
  5. Has the most impressive physics engine seen on consoles thus far, but the game does not take full advantage of it. The action is straight-forward, but engaging, and the whole game has a nice cinematic feel to it. One of the best shooters for PS2. [July. 05],

Cold Winter is a great FPS for the PS2, but unfortunately most people don't know about this title. I was thoroughly impressed with what it delivered. A great storyline that keeps you wanting to know what's going to happen next, the ability to blow limbs off of an enemy, plenty of explosions and weapons to use, and you can interact with the environment. The game is intense and has some of the most impressive shootouts I've ever seen in a game. This game is very exciting and an absolute blast to play. The flaws? Graphics in real-time look ugly and sometimes there are hit detection problems. Full Review »

This game is one of the best FPS on PS2! It's physics engine is superb and because I didn't take the story line or game seriously in anyway, it's awesome fun. Full Review »
