  • Summary: Dynasty Warriors 4 takes battlefield action to the next level, allowing players to experience the thrill of taking on multiple opponents at once and fighting against impossible odds. A host of new features add greater depth to the gameplay, as well as more insight into the characters and turbulent events of the Three Kingdoms era. The concepts of Honor and Loyalty in the face of adversity serve as the main theme for the game. The obligations of generals to their Lords and Allies guide the paths of these warriors as the fight to unify a divided empire. [KOEI] Expand

  1. With the exception of a few minor complaints, Dynasty Warriors 4 is as close to action-gaming Nirvana as you're going to get for quite a while.
  2. 86
Has everything that fans could have hoped for: More stages, balanced characters, smarter computer intelligence, and plenty of different modes to choose from... What it doesn't have, however, is innovation.
  3. Graphically, DW4 is a giant leap ahead of the past Dynasty Warriors games. The animation is now smoother and more imaginative, the effects wild and dazzling, and slowdown is thankfully rare.
  4. Dynasty Warriors 4 is good, but it's the same kind of good that Koei has been releasing for almost three years now.

The game is brilliant but it needs more levels, more weapons, more characters, more choice in the editing mode. Add these and it's perfect.

A lot of new features and levels, but it often dies on me mid-battle, sending me back to the menu unsaved (no not because of the start+select code) other times I simply fall over dead for no reason. there are quite a few bugs with the new moves. Leaving your commander alone for *one second* results in loss on higher difficulty settings. New and fun, but it doesnt feel right for me. DW3 is still my fave Expand
