As the sun sets on the Playstation 2 and its historical run at tackling videogame sales records, the FIFA series has come as close as ever to bringing down the Winning Eleven 9 vale of supremacy.
  2. With the PS2 final whistle in sight, FIFA 08 brings it right back to the touch line.
  3. Don't expect a revolution, or even an evolution, come to think of it, but this is solid stuff and truly excels in multiplayer. [Nov 2007, p.100]
  4. It's back-to-back successful seasons for FIFA while the Be A Pro mode is really top-notch. [Nov 2007, p.77]

  1. Decent gameplay, a much needed reinvention of some of the controls from previous versions, however, most of the modes are immensely buggy. I found my data and save files were consistently corrupted and deleted and I also found manager mode a real shame, the balancing system is non existent, the player development hashed, random clubs from the lower leagues end up winning the worlds hardest competitions, some of the worlds best players can be bought for the same amount as lower ranked ones and random computer generated players in future seasons turn out with ridiculously high stats. Looking back in hindsight, this was a time when Pro Evo still lead the way for football simulators. Full Review »
  2. Hey it's not that bad of a game. I started playing it again and it's awesome. Not perfect though but still good!

Some bugs are annoying (invisible subs), lack of manager and be a pro mode makes game lack depth. Controls are different but can be learned... online play is fun when controls are learned... I hope they improve next years version include what the PS2 has with no bugs... Then its a 9 Full Review »
