  1. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is a fun platformer, definitely aimed at younger gamers and fans of the series.
  2. This game is good, relaxing fun. If you're a big fan of the movies and are looking to spend a little more time in that world, by all means go ahead and buy it.
  3. Though functionality isn’t one of its strong points, the game’s major saving graces are its humorous cutscenes and voiceover work, namely that of Julien.

I suppose a young gamer might get a kick out of this one if he or she is really into the Madagascar movies, but the bland gameplay and awkward structure do very little to provide an enjoyable experience.

This review contains spoilers. When Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa first came out in 2008, I was excited as any other little kid. They way the first game was set up, it encourage me to try this one. Boy was I wrong. When I first started to play, I noticed that the graphics are completely different the the first. It was challenging to actually see the characters just like they were in the movie. The second thing I noticed was that there was no free roam, which to me, was a great thing if you like one character then the others. The only thing I wonder through the game was "What were they thinking." Collapse
