  • Summary: Based on the animated feature film from DreamWorks, Madagascar is the only game that lets players enter the world of four hilarious Central Park Zoo animals - a personality-packed crew made up of a lion, zebra, giraffe and hippo. Players must master each animal's natural skills while adventuring through the exciting city of New York and the dangerous island of Madagascar, interacting with other animals and tackling obstacles and enemies in scenarios from the movie and beyond. 1. Undoubtedly a fun little platformer. The game boasts respectable gameplay, and an impressive audio-visual combination, as well as a comical plot from the folks at Dreamworks. There’s plenty to do in the levels, and plenty to unlock for a second play through.
  2. Artfully designed for a young audience, Madagascar will keep kids constantly entertained by serving up a wide variety of fun activities. The amusing movie characters and dialogue also ensure plenty of giggles.
  3. But even with the mini-games and ability to replay the levels, I'm not 100% sure how much of an interest the game will hold. I wonder if after 2-3 days with it even the kids will get bored. For that, I say renting it is the best bet.
  4. There’s nothing that’s going to knock your socks off, but enough for your 10 year old to enjoy it at least as a rental.
  5. It's not exactly a memorable quest, but Madagascar is still a good time, especially to fans of the movie who can't get enough of its main characters.
  6. A charming, if flawed and anorexically shallow, kids' action game. Parents shouldn't feel bad about buying it. Kids won't feel bad playing it.
  7. It’s a shame that the concept was implemented so poorly, an example of sacrificing quality for mindless movie-licensed mush. With the absolute lack of difficulty and simplistic design, it’s a real wonder as to what Activision was expecting when they unleashed this game upon the masses of unsuspecting gamers.

Really funny game, a lot to do, and a lot mini-games to unlock, sometimes difficulty increases too much for kids, so they need parent's help... but overall a good solig platform game for kids! Collapse

This game is not exceptional but definately the suckers who have given it less than 5 are duds. It is a fun game which keeps you entertained for some time. Expand

Fun game for the younger set (six year old), especially if they are fans of the original movie. Embedded mini games are a nice addition.

Practically each level is fun on their own, and I do like some of the characters who only make an appearance in this game. The music is weird but at the same time catchy. Expand
