  1. Pick it up and be ready to immerge yourself in a fun filled, action packed adventure, that you won’t want to finish in a hurry and thankfully you won’t.
  2. Beyond the radioactive bread products Bioware has created and intricate and bizarrely funny game that should delight followers of the series and newbies alike.
  3. Incredibly solid, full of humor, and packed with enough variety in gameplay to keep you coming back for a long while, it made it worth sitting through 50 games mired in crappy control or graphics.

A fun game with tons of character. The difficulty and control tweaks mean that all that good stuff won't be lost in a flurry of frustration.
  5. With 10 deliciously complex levels to work through as you alternately take turns controlling each character, MDK2: Armageddon delivers a formidable amount of gameplay depth.

An amazingly fun gaming experience that will completely absorb you, whether you're laughing at the bizarre humor or screaming in frustrated rage.
  7. The humor and voice acting are at the very top of any game list and make playing MDK2 an absolute pleasure.
  8. It is the originality of the story and the way the game takes shape that make this a recommended gaming experience.
  9. Its mix of brains and brawn come together for some truly fun gameplay. But for a game that's a year old, it would have been nice to see a little something extra.
  10. [Its] frantic, hard-as-heck action has apparently fused those vital language-center synapses, so fongoo, this review's just gonna peter out because your reviewer's brain is fried.
  11. Without a doubt it's the best shooter in years and so far the best one yet on the PS2. If you liked the original MDK, this sequel pulls off what few can do. It outshines the original by miles.
  12. A large part of the game’s charm is it’s humor, but that’s not to say that the action, graphics, and sound don’t also meet the standard of a great PS2 game.
  13. PS2 owners who haven't played any other version of MDK2 should be pleased with the game, and Dreamcast owners who couldn't muster the dedication to complete the game might want to see what they missed on the PS2.
  14. It's a tight ride, but there's just one problem -- we expected a lot more control.
  15. What could have been a groundbreaking title has been reduced to an exceptional weekend rental.
  16. As a port of a game from another system, it's disappointing. [June 2001, p.97]
  17. It's nice to see a game come along that is proud of its action roots but attempts to bring more to the experience, creating a title that is fast and furious, but also clever and engaging for more than a few hours of play.
  18. For starters, anyone familiar with the Dreamcast version will stare in disbelief at the ropy visuals that this version has been saddled with. Everything from the characters to the levels look strangely rough-hewn and the textures look somewhat muted and lack definition and sharpness of colour.
