  1. There is much less blood and gore in this game than is usually seen in games of this nature and those looking for a game with a story line with not all of the killing will find this game a welcome change.
  2. If you get your kicks from smacking gangs of vomiting men then you’re probably quite at home with the shallowness of Minority Report.
  3. Better than "Spiderman," but it still could have been better." [Jan 2003, p.58]
  4. Its boring, unimaginative combat lays shame to the fact that Philip K. Dick (whose short story the movie is based on) came up with a pretty original idea to write about.
  5. Repetitive above all else, the majority of the stages play out almost identically: kick butt, run away, kick butt again, run away again, repeat, and so on. [Jan 2003, p.30]
  6. Everybody runs. In the case of the lackluster 3D-adventure-cum-beat-em-up Minority Report, rest assured, they're not running to the videogame store. [Feb 2003, p.71]
  7. Each level just feels like the last level.
  8. It doesn't take a mutant psychic with precognition to figure out this one's a renter. [Feb 2003, p.138]
  9. We forsee you buying this game, enjoying it at first, getting frustrated at certain parts, then putting it on your shelf after you’re done and rarely playing it again.
  10. Minority Report does not capture the essence of the movie and ends up being a tiresome wade through piles of repetitive enemies.

A bit of this and a bit of that, and the results are poor plot points and lousy stage design.
  12. If you’re a fan of the movie you’ll be bitterly disappointed at the butchering the license has received, whilst even action fans will be put off after they’ve punched, kicked and thrown their way through the first 10 missions; avoid!!!
  13. What made Treyarch’s "Spider-Man" engine so special was its versatility. In MR, most of the versatility was taken away by simply focusing on the fighting aspect, giving the game a repetitive feel to it throughout its 40 levels.

A game full of lousy gameplay and poor visual effects that will only make you ask, “Why?!” ... Clearly belongs in the bin of horrendous movie-to-game translations.
  15. Falls into line behind countless other film conversions, boasting low production values, an obviously rushed release and highly conventional gameplay that struggles with the controls.
  16. Decent is about the most I can say for it... Frustrating, checkpoint-free stages only furthered my desire to quit playing. [Feb 2003, p.108]
  17. Too bad those psychics couldn't have predicted how lame this franchise would turn out, they might have been able to stop it long before production started.
  18. Disastrously shallow... The minority here is the few fans who will actually finish the game. [10 Jan 2003, p.77]
  19. I saw it quickly deteriorate into yet another cash cow trying to capitalize on a Hollywood hit.
  20. Uneven presentation and its incongruence with the spirit of the movie make it just another bad licensed-property video game.
  21. There is only one word to describe MR’s graphics and the word is ugly! The game looks like an old Nintendo 64 game. The character models are ugly and the cut scenes are horrendous.
  22. 39
This terribly trite gameplay would be fine if the title of this software release was called, for example, "Go Dai: Elements of Power," but it isn't.
  23. A punch, kick and throw marathon that bears more resemblance to early 90s side scrolling beat ‘em ups from Capcom than a 21st Century action adventure on a next generation console.
  24. Dreadful, boring and not featuring an iota of the excitement and intensity found in its motion picture counterpart, Minority Report disappoints at every turn.
  25. The level design and flow of the game grows tiring quickly.
  26. For starters, it's boring...You generally just button mash as quickly as possible and hope that the cops fall down before you do.
