  • Summary: Featuring a deeper playbook that covers both ends of the court, NCAA March Madness 06 delivers the ultimate strategic basketball experience. Players can dominate rivals with an authentic brand of defense and push the ball on offense with an enhanced Floor General Playcalling system that features more sets than before. With the all-new EA SPORTS Lockdown Stick, defense creates offense by allowing players to pressure the ball, force turnovers and harass opponents on the court. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. The gameplay is improved a good deal from last year, giving you more of a realistic feel while maintaining a fast-paced arcadey kind of feel.
  2. It’s not often that you can say it, but this year the college game actually comes off better than the professional title. NCAA March Madness 06 features a more complete presentation of the emotional and tactical facets of the game.
  3. While there are things that could be improved upon this game will capture you for many hours while you are trying to just get one more win.
  4. A pretty quick AI that takes advantage of give-and-go's, pick-and-rolls, and backdoor cuts. [Nov 2005, p.115]

Someone once called basketball a thinking man's game. NCAA March Madness 06 certainly got that right.
  6. Easily the best game in the franchise’s history, but it’s not leaps and bounds better over last year’s game.
  7. Though it sees a nice addition in the lockdown stick, the game stays stubbornly true to its already paid-for code, repeating the fouls of its past and failing to graduate to the next level.

Awesome game, best basketball game Iv'e ever played. It never gets old with all the college teams that are on it. The dynasty mode is as good as ncaa football if not better. Expand

I'm a 38 year old father of a 20mth old baby- after working all day & playing with the baby & giving time to the wife- it's my turn to play PS2. This game rocks. Santa just gave it to me. I wanted NBA LIVE 2006- wife goofed & got me this one. I love it. Dick Vitale is awesome- you never know what this cat will say next. Thank you EA SPORTS. Expand

I liked this years March Madness, the game play is good and has improved. My only objection is that you should be allowed to play with more than one user in Dynasty mode, and also they should bring back the draft class so you can convert the players to NBA Live again! Collapse

the dynasty mode seems alittle broken, lets have more then one user in, ie ncaa football anyone. Other then that the lockdown stick is a major improvement in any b-ball game. Expand
