  1. It plays a decent game of pigskin and isn't exactly harsh on the eyes, but with such clearly superior titles on shelves and on the way, it seems silly to lay your money down for anything but the best.
  2. While [it] might not be as polished or have the better AI and all the bells and whistles of Madden, it is a very solid football game and offers up plenty of new and innovative features that Madden doesn't.
  3. Game Informer
The best QBC yet, and that fact still only scratches the surface of what this franchise could do. [Nov 2001, p.112]
  4. Clipping is bad, commentary isn't very good, and there are really weird graphical bugs that occur quite frequently while playing.
  5. For football fans looking for an alternative to Madden, QB Club 2002 is far from perfect, but it isn't terrible, especially if you're not interested in a single-player game.
  6. Not exactly a brain buster, this game is good for hanging out with friends, eating, drinking, and yelling at the screen...just like a real game.
  7. The soft AI doesn’t make its way into the Quarterback Challenge, easily the most fun part of the game (and developed well, it could turn into a game on its own).

We can't think of a legitimate reason to go out and buy this game. The Quarterback Challenge is admittedly enjoyable, but it doesn't add enough value to the game to make it worthwhile purchase.
  9. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
The only thing that makes this PS2 incarnation fun is the Quarterback Challenge. [Nov 2001, p.160]
  10. Simply put the biggest problem with this game is that even on the All-Pro level it’s just too easy.
  11. Take away the Quarterback Challenge mode and this game falls down into the hellish pit of inconsequentiality.
  12. Even at the highest difficulty level the game provides little challenge.

The QB challenge & unlockable legends make this game a must.

It's one of the best games I have played.
