  1. The animation is solid, and there's a plot to boot. [Aug 2002, p.79]
  2. Takes a good idea and executes it in a mediocre way.
  3. It's no "Mario Party," but it is a fun romp through an abbreviated Namco Universe. [Aug 2002, p.71]
  4. Just another shallow party game.
  5. This is a game that, as its title aptly implies, you can quickly get sick of. [Oct 2002, p.40]
  6. The very definition of ‘AVERAGE’ (which is what the number ‘5’ represents in our review scale), “Pac-Man Fever” neither diminishes or improves on the “Mario Party” formula set in stone back in ’99 by Hudson Soft.

Isn't bad - it's just not that great. It's good for a couple plays, but not much more. [Sept 2002, p.32]
  8. This is the kind of plague that should see Pac-Man quarantined and approached only by trained disease control experts in the shelter of a hazardous materials suit.
  9. 40
Without even a hint of fun multiplayer competition, you and your friends will certainly catch an unfavorable fever caused by a dismal showing of Pac-Man Fever.
  10. Pac’s newest adventure involves playing cheesy boards and minigames with his sappy friends (obviously his wife’s pals), who look like they hopped out of a Barney video.
  11. 40
Feels as if it's beneath the once-great franchise.
  12. Pac-Man Fever will drive you neither crazy nor out of your mind. [Sept 2002, p.116]
  13. Party game gone to hell thanks to its poor execution.
  14. This is a snore-fest made all the more yawnsome when you discover you have to watch the computer players take their turns in their geriatric entirety. [Oct 2002, p.194]

A disappointingly ugly rip-off of Mario Party. However, it'll keep the kiddies entertained with its wacky mini-games. Pros: A variety of mini-games; good board designs; lots of comic mischief. Cons: Average graphics; dull visuals; limited characters and unlockable content; it's a sad attempt at ripping off the Mario Party series. Full Review »

Some of it's games ARE rip-offs. Music does get repetitive, and I'm not sure who that disco guy is, or any of the other humans in this game. The repetitive music is kinda good, most games are mildly enjoyable, the variety of characters is nice. Graphics are nothing to mention, they are pretty generic. This game does more wrong than it does right. Full Review »
