  1. If that isn't a pair of dream tracklists, I don't know what is.
  2. SingStar Amped! continues in the same vein as the previous titles, good and bad. Whle the game doesn’t make any huge improvements other than the soundtrack, it also doesn’t make any new mistakes.
  3. A well-done successor of the SingStar-empire! Good choice of songs, very entertaining.
  4. In the end, Singstar Amped is a good solid music title, that for many will offer up a great music experience especially for those into some nice rock and roll tunes.
  5. Looking at this as part of an overall Singstar package, Amped does a good job of bringing more songs into the fold. As a stand-alone title, it doesn't live up to its title.

A title that every rock lover should have in their collection.
  7. Tough to rate an expansion like this, but kudos for the diversity of the songs. This is a great collection of memories and newer songs.

SingStar is out to be a fun and engaging multiplayer karaoke game, and it succeeds at that. If you've got a crew of buddies that's in the mood to scream Audioslave and try to keep up with the Ramones, this is the title for you.
  9. There's really something for everyone in it. [Nov 2007, p.86]
  10. SingStar is best played in moderation and in the company of a few good friends.

It's an addendum to a broader karaoke game, not a stand-alone.
  12. Same old game, new tracklist… ‘nuff said. If it’s shiny new features you’re after, check out the PS3 version.
  13. There aren’t many modes or options for gameplay, either. Party mode features duets, battles, and a hodgepodge “pass the mic” game. None of these make you feel competitive, and though the automatic leaderboards are neat and easy to keep track of, SingStar is more karaoke than video game.
  14. Singstar Amped is for you grungy rock and rollers out there, so show you love and scare the neighbors with your haunting melodies of death and love loss.
  15. While Singstar may not be the game to do all by your lonesome, it is a great addition to your party game library.
  16. And wouldn't it be cool if you could edit, save and upload your videos to the internet, complete with visual effects and filters? Yeah - that's almost positively going to be in the PS3 version. Until then, this will get you by, especially if you're throwing a party.
  17. The game lacks a hardcore presentation to go with the theme, but that's only a small issue, since this is definitely the best SingStar to date.
  18. This fourth karaoke release from Sony ironically rocks harder than the SingStar with "rocks" in the title.

It doesn't offer anything new apart from the tracks... but that should be of no surprise to fans of the game. If you like to rock, SingStar: Amped is a worthy purchase for your party needs.

All in all, the lineup of songs isn’t terrible – it just lacks any compelling set of standout songs that hold everything together.
