  1. It's a great value for its $20 debut price tag, and it’s easily my favorite game of any generation based on the Star Trek license.

This is a solid title. My wife picked it up for me after being unable to find the PsP Tactical Assault trek game. I was gonna return it assuming it was like 40 bucks. When I saw the $20 price I was like what the hell if it stinks no big loss. I'm glad I kept it. For those of you who don't want to "hail" and "negotiate" this is the game for you. Its fast paced, has all the eras and all the ships with just enough trek to keep it balanced. The controls are easy enough to pick up, and swaping power between systems in a battle places more thinking into the game than just point and shoot. I really like how you can knock out specific systems on your enemyies ship with the target lock. MP is great to take on your buddy in one of 3 different modes. There is a huge variety of ships, and all handle and fire differently, so you dont' feel like your just playing with a different model. If you have a big screen its best on this ( I do) as the split screen may be tough on the eyes for some on smaller screens. On the downside the music gets a little tired, a little more variety would have been nice, and a couple camera options would have been a good touch as well. Graphics def don't hold up to the next gen consouls, but seriously I hail from the days of pong so I never get to picky if the game is engrossing. Any one looking for a sci fi game that is loaded with action and lots of ships to choose from should pick this game. Full Review »

This is a must have game for any Trek fan, especially at only $20 (or even cheaper at some places.) It's a more "arcadey" version of a Starfleet Command type game, and with all five eras just like the upcoming Legacy. Flying around and blowing up stuff is alot of fun in this game, and the one on one fights in Skirmish mode definitely have that Star Trek feel to them. That, a decent sized campaign mode, and a survival type mode called Onslaught promise alot of replay value for this game. Overall, a great game. Full Review »

Not bad for a Trek based arcade shooter. It's a weird mix of Asteroids (minus the momentum) and Starfleet Command. Story mode's a bit frustrating, but Skirmish mode is reasonably fun. My only gripe is that you have to complete Story mode to unlock everything. (Here's hoping that somebody will find some unlock codes.) Full Review »
