  • Summary: In Majesco's Teen Titans, players switch control in real time between heroes Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven, so that they can capitalize on the Teen Titans' unique moves and abilities. The action takes place in a crime-ridden city featuring the notorious villains Slade, Overload, Jinx, Gizmo, and Mammoth. While advancing through hostile environments in this multi-player and multi-level game, players will uncover an in-depth storyline containing many exciting twists and turns. [Majesco] Collapse

  1. The game is a mindless, simplistic punching bag that will either be music to your eyes, ears and thumbs or a crushing disappointment for those looking for more depth (note to self: lower your expectations of superhero games, dude).
  2. Teen Titans the game makes good use of the license to spice up what is otherwise a very average beat-'em-up.
  3. Enemy bots explode in a single chunk of shrapnel, the collision is sloppy, the action is mostly repetitive and there's no sign of the WB animation. [Mar 2006, p.44]
  4. What saves the game from being completely mediocre is the story. It’s not particularly compelling, but it does have some entertainingly postmodernist moments. [Mar 2006, p.88]
  5. Playable, but deflatingly tedious. [Feb 2007, p.68]
  6. Teen Titans is a short and unspectacular diversion for an audience that might be too young for more mature fare, and the price is certainly right, but those more discerning with their beat 'em-up dollars should hunt super-villains elsewhere.
  7. Bland, repetitive brawling that lacks both panache and depth. A decent cartoon feel isn't nearly enough to redeem this hollow, tedious experience. [Jan 2007, p.92]

TT does a good job at capturing the feel of the show, showcasing many similar animation and color styles. However, the character models are fugly, the action monotanous, and it has little charm. On the bright side, players who keep at the game will find a plethora of special moves with which to pummel your favorite enemies (up to about season 2/early season 3) and a Master of Games mode featuring all the characters in the game, playable! The only doenside to this is, again, the character selection is limited to only the early characters... Expand
