  • Summary: Based on the 2007 live-action feature film, Transformers: The Game lets gamers control the outcome in the battle for Earth as they choose to protect it as Autobots or destroy it as Decepticons. Players experience the unstoppable power and massive scale of their favorite Robots in Disguise such as BumbleBee, Barricade and others. As the Transformers robot's war comes to Earth, gamers make the choice to join the Autobots in protecting our planet or to join the Decepticons in destroying it. With dual campaigns, the fate of the world is in players' hands. Instantly change from a larger than life robot to a high-powered vehicle such as a sports car, fighter jet or helicopter. Players crush, topple and wreck every object, including buildings and vehicles, in their path or use the objects as weapons. An unprecedented line-up lets gamers experience the massive scale, unique abilities and sheer strength of an army of characters from the Transformers universe when they choose to play as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ironhide, Starscream, BumbleBee and more. For head-to-head battles, fans engage in melee combat that reflects each Transformers robot's character, scale, weight and power along with melee weapons and special moves unique to each character. The game's ranged combat offers a wide array of projective weapons designed to take out enemies from afar. [Activision] Expand

  1. Transformers: The Game is like the Prom Queen from the nerd's perspective. She's really very beautiful and engaging, but trying to get your hands on her is a maddening adventure. If you do get your hands on her you can't share with friends (1 player only), and you might not want a second date after that first experience.
  2. It’s not that this game is terrible, just kind of unimpressive and full of things that have been done better elsewhere.
  3. It’s about on par with all other movie licensed games: relatively short, decent graphics, decent gameplay, and not much value to it.
  4. This is the epitome a game that was quickly thrown together with the most basic and juvenile concepts videogaming has.

This is the best Transformers game ever. The graphics r superb and the game play is unbeleivable. A must have game.
  2. pros: good graphics, free roam, slow-motion action, cool transformers. cons: vehicle handling is iffy, no sense of weight, action could have been better, lacks eye-candy, lighting is uneven, no (fun) multiplayer. OVERALL: a good game but lacks depth and could have a lot better. Expand

Because of a lack of content, such as 2 player and any at all unlock able features such as missions or characters, this game is good for the 1 round than back to the store. talk about no features...their isnt even a difficulty setting !! Expand

This is the worst movie licensed game I have had the distinct displeasure of playing. Starting with the few positives, the transformation animations of the robots do look great, as do the graphics generally in the game. You can play through the entire story from either the Autobots of Decepticons which is also neat and would have been a fantastic addition of the game was enjoyable.

The guns every character is equipped are useless against any enemy with a shield, which ends up being the majority of the enemies in the game. The three melee moves your character can do do not make a combat system, sorry.

The enemy AI is incredibly cheap and will spam their guns at you resulting in knock-backs which can be enfuriating. The voice acting in this game is equally awful with overdone acting and no effort aimed at a coherent plot, no inclusion of even the movie's basic plot structure.

This game is garbage. For a great Transformers game, play the one simply titled "Transformers", or War for Cybertron, those games were made with time and care behind them, and it shows when playing them. This movie tie-in is a cash grab hardly worthy of the 5 dollar Best Buy bargain bins.
