  1. A pretty solid game with only one major downside: load times. This has got to be the game with the longest load time on the PS2 aside from love smash which will never make it to the states.
  2. In many ways Wrath Unleashed represents a significant step forward for the future of gaming diversity.
  3. Wrath's only problems are small but important: Loading unfortunately breaks up the game's pacing, the fighting engine could be deeper, and there's no online mode.

I’d give this a strong rent/weak buy suggestion if you’re just out for single player, but it’s one to pick up if you have fantasy n’ fightin’ lovin’ friends.
  5. Wrath Unleashed does have nice visuals as far as character models go but landscapes during battles could’ve been a bit better.

The game is definitely a bit slower-paced than a lot of console gamers are used to, and the learning curve is also a bit steeper than normal, but give it some time and you'll find yourself engrossed with the deep gameplay and crisp visuals.
  7. The concept and the creatures, not to mention the turn-based gameplay could’ve infused the strategy genre with a shot of adrenaline that it sorely needed.
  8. The only problem is that LucasArts didn’t take the ultimate risk and create strictly a strategy game, because the fighting aspects sink this game faster than an ogre mage in quicksand.

Where's the battle map editor? Although Wrath Unleashed provides only 21 battle maps (four of which are locked), there are only a handful of three- and four-player battle maps, and they're bound to get stale after a few rounds of play.

This game may not really be as bad as 1. But it certainly deserves a 1 when compared to one of my favorite PS games: The Unholy War. The This game may not really be as bad as 1. But it certainly deserves a 1 when compared to one of my favorite PS games: The Unholy War. The following game elements are all much better in The Unholy War: * battlegournd variety * creature variety * gameplay Compared to The Unholy War, Wrath Unleashed is flat, flat, flat. None of the pieces fly - not meaningfully. Some of them "hover", which is, for the purposes of combat, not that different from walking. Their combat moves are also pretty much all the same. There is pretty much only one battle ground - in different colors. The Unholy War had wonderfully different battleground design. The graphics are also difficult to make out, which is frustrating. Perhaps they are better on an HDTV. But on my normal TV everything is so small. Very disappointing. Full Review »
