This year marks the 50th anniversary of Ian Flemming's James Bond big screen adaptations. What a way to celebrate, by having a game which grabs hold of some of the most memorable moments of the franchise and squashes them in to an entire game that barely lasts six hours. The problem is the game is as convoluted and nondescript as the rank and file of those Bond dispatches. What a way to celebrate, by having a game which grabs hold of some of the most memorable moments of the franchise and squashes them in to an entire game that barely lasts six hours. The problem is the game is as convoluted and nondescript as the rank and file of those Bond dispatches. The biggest ding in 007 Legends is to do with the sheer repetition and aggravation derived from the gameplay. The fact that it mimics COD isn't the problem, but the way it does nothing original, whilst packing in waves upon waves of mindless AI drones is a sickening letdown. The game also shares very clear similarities with its predecessor Goldeneye Reloaded. That is to say, the same animations for kills are repeated over and over and the bullet soaking AI are infuriatingly persistent. Stealth could've been Legends' savior, were it not for the fact that you can be caught by simply shooting a silent pen dart at a scientist, even when other AI's aren't aware. They simply have superhuman perception. The game forces you to play in a specific way too, whilst also ensuring that it tares off COD setpiece ideas and calls them their own. Eurocom should know better from their work on the franchise in the past. Most of all this game wants us to thaw Bizarre Creations out of cremation and produce original Bond games like Blood Stone- which is a very underrated third person shooter. Expand

Absolutely awful. There may be many games but they are all terrible. Why Daniel Craig is in all of them I don't know either. It lacks atmosphere and any playability. Don't buy it!

Bond is back in Skyfall, looking forward towards IMAX this weekend. For 007 Legends, this is one of the worst Bond games to celebrate 50 years of a spy who'd always shaking. But as far as the game goes, it's stirring into a big bowl of hurt. It's one of the worst games of this year since Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor for the Kinect. Don't believe the fake user reviews - this is a really terrible game. The game mechanics are tired, the graphics suck, and it's extremely disconcerting to "relive" Jame Bond legendary experiences.. that not only never even happened, but take place in the present and star Daniel Craig. 007 Legends is more aptly-titled "Alternate Universe James Bond in a cheap CoD/Punch-Out Clone". Skip it.

This game is a shame to the 007 license. There is absolutely no fan-service, the mechanics are broken, the game is glitchy, the dialogue is awful, and the graphics are hideous. Coming from a lifelong Bond fan, don't buy this game.

This game is pretty much an exact replica of Call of Duty when it comes to the multiplayer aspect. The campaign is enjoyable as you can play as James Bond in some of your favorite 007 films, but more stealth should have been incorporated. Every online player is constantly on Team Conflict or Conflict, which translates to Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch for Call of Duty players; what they're used to. The game developers spent lots of time on this game most likely, but overall, not worth the buy. Expand

The only thing legendary about this game is the mess it makes of the Bond franchise.

The worst possible anniversary tribute to a character that deserves so much better. A turgid, tragic piece of sh.t. [Jan 2013, p.79]
  3. The biggest problem is the god awful graphics. Even the Bond logo on the background of the menu looks like it was imported directly from a PlayStation 1 game. And that's just the menu screen, the actual game doesn't look much better. [December 2012, p.88]
