This game is nowhere as bad as people are making it out to be. It's not a major production like Skyrim. Not every new game has to follow the new trends either. Keep it fun, playable, easy to pick up and play. If you have ever played D&D with pen and paper and any of the Baldur Gate games, you'll love this. It's co-op, old school style action RPG style, and I like it. For a fun quick romp in a D&D universe, it's worth the money. By no means perfect, but for the money they put into it, it's well worth it. Expand

Gameplay is limited to mashing one button most of the time, graphics are actually not that bad, very bland, and not anything exciting. Seems like this should have been a wii game from two years ago or more. No speech from NPCs other than the main quest cutscenes. Looting and killing doesnt make this feel like D&D at all. Very watered down version of whats currently available, check out D3 or Dungeon Hunter. Expand

  1. The quests are grinding, the dialogue linear, and the loot at lower levels decidedly 'meh.' [Oct 2012, p.117]

By the time you reach the end boss, complete with compulsory quick-time events, you'll be glad it's over. Daggerdale doesn't do anything out of the ordinary – it's a typical plod through the world of D&D, and a stale one at that.
