A marble maze game like this is based on two things: good physics and good track design. HamsterBall has mediocre both.
  2. With its unwisely generic title, Hamsterball doesn't inspire confidence that it's going to do anything more than roll over old ground, and so it proves.
  3. There's plenty to nibble at, and for a cent under ten dollars (European pricing and release date still to be confirmed) it's well worth a punt.

It's a little pricey, but fans of Monkey Ball will be more than happy with this digital substitute. [Issue#194, p.103]

It is quite entertaining in terms of gameplay and the levels are varied enough. It is not too long, but getting the 100% of trophies and levels in general pose a good challenge that prolongs the length of the game. Full Review »
