Labyrinth Legends is a short but pure and enjoyable dungeon crawl that will challenge you in ways that many developers have discarded as relics of the past.

Labyrinth Legends' ambition doesn't go far beyond its modest plot line. Save the princess, bash some bad guys, and solve a few puzzles along the way. It's disposable, sure, but that doesn't stop Labyrinth Legends from being enjoyable while it lasts.

Labyrinth Legends is pretty fun while it lasts, which unfortunately isn't that long. It nails the classic dungeon crawling genre / formula well, but does nothing to advance it for the modern generation. Fans of the genre will enjoy the trip down memory lane, while others will be left less than impressed.

Legends Labyrinth suffers of several problems. Despite that, this unusual hack'n slash-based puzzle will not fail to enthrall thanks to the extraordinary work of level design.

  1. This is a good game. Fun music, fun gameplay and nice level designs. The puzzles aren't hard but there can still be some challenge in finding every star in each level. This game will keep you busy for 3-5 hours, give or take an hour. There isn't any upgrades for your character (in the sense on an RPG), but you will come across armor for increasing your character's health. The combat is fun, simple and satisfying. If you're on the fence about getting the game.... I suggest getting it. Expand
  2. Just picked this up for free as a part of Playstation Plus and I've been pleasantly surprised. It is a fun and challenging dungeon crawl in the vein of Zelda's from the past. There is practically no story, but the fun bite size gameplay makes up for that. The combat is simple, but fun and the puzzles can be difficult but nothing that will make you scratch your head for long. It's a fairly short game but even if you don't have Plus it's worth the price of admission. Games like this don't come around very often any more. Expand
