Sega's Olympic Games really added to the wonderful atmosphere of the London 2012 games. A wide range of sports and party options as well as realistic and flawless commentaries that add that extra bit to the otherwise monotonous gameplay. A must for multiplayer game modes for up to 4 controllers and the online play. The game will most likely lose its novelty by next summer but with the Olympics finished, its your closest thing to enjoying the atmosphere of the real Olympic games. Expand

This is an excellent game, people usually give bad grades for Olympic games, but this is really fun. There´s a lot events and both offline and on line are great.

First off, i like olympic console games, ever since summer games 2 on the commodore 64. I feel that this game does everything pretty well. Its actually difficult to obtain world records ( as it should be ), archery is great, running events use a much better method than the old ones. its compelling trying to beat your times and the online has been done really well. London 2012 is not a pretty game. In fact, it's rather horrid in most respects: athletes are modelled competently, but move with all the poise and grace of a stop-motion Terminator. Menus and other interface elements are all rendered in that garish, angular style that has sadly come to define the London games. [September 2012, p74]

London 2012 is a game that minimally fulfills the expectations. For fans of the competition, this is the only opportunity that provides good cover of the events that shape the competition and allows living the spirit of the Olympic without traveling to London.
