Oct 24, 201264This is a very original title, not only when it comes to its story but also its gameplay. This is something we really appreciate, but it doesn't manage to rise above its rival. We're sure many people will love it, but it'll drive crazy that audience that looks for fast, easy titles.

Nov 26, 201249Imitates better fantasy RPGs poorly. It's interesting concept is buried under poor story-telling, a lifeless world, and dull combat. [Christmas 2012, p.89]

Nov 28, 201270Orcs is unrefined in spots, but Cyanide punches massively above its weight in terms of production values and thought-provoking storytelling. Go in expecting some rough edges, but also expect to be surprised. [Christmas 2012, p.78]

Oct 23, 201250Of Orcs and Men has so much potential and when you get into the game you'll experience flashes of brilliance, but those flashes are gone as quickly as they come, leaving behind a game that came out before it was ready.

Nov 29, 201230'An ambitious story' turned out to be a compilation of clichés realized in a trivial way and dragged down by laughable combat, linearity and overall poor quality. [CD-Action 13/2012, p.73]

Dec 4, 201264Of Orcs and Men is all about two greenskins whose mission it is to kill the human emperor to free the Orcs of slavery. An interesting set-up, considering these two greenskins are no sissies. The dynamic between them reminded us of Kane & Lynch. [December 2012, p.81]

Oct 31, 201240Of Orcs and Men joins the list of games that have failed to deliver after some early promise. This is a pity as the concept of a game examining the point of view and culture of those fantasy races that would traditionally be shoved into the role of the antagonist forces without a second thought is an appealing one. Unfortunately, Of Orcs and Men squanders this opportunity and the result is a mediocre, all-too-short experience that won't live long in the memory.
