  1. This is a rugby relic from a bygone age. [Oct 2011, p.116]

Not the worst sports game ever made, and capable of producing some enjoyment in multiplayer mode. But it won't last, will get annoying, and you will get very bored. [Issue#209, p.94]

just played the demo...Yeah the price is a little bit akward (49.99)... But this game is FUN! Im not an expert about rugby, but all i know is that it did not take long before i was able to understand how to play the game. Everybody can learn in like 5 min! I dont know why critics are comparing it with games like madden or fifa... Its really not the same budget and how many decent games of rugby have you played in your life? Me, thats sure is the first decent one. Im not going to bash it... it's absolutely not the sports game of the year but it deserve to give it a chance and Im sure that like me, you'll have a lot of fin with it (btw : sorry for my english :S it's not my primary language) Expand

  2. Wow, where to start with the flaws or bugs in this game? This is nothing more than the previous version, with updated names and logos, and way more flaws in the gameplay. Here are some examples: 1. It is basically impossible to defend the attacking cross-kick when you are defending in your 22. All the top teams use it and will score nine times out of ten as by the time you get a chance to switch to control your wing, it is too late. 2. If you are viewing from behind (not the side) it is impossible to see what is going on when you are defending. The camera does not ‘drop back’ enough. If you pass to your flyhalf, by the time you see him it is almost too late. You have to start executing your kick before you see him. T 3. The ability to control your fullback is very limited. Against top teams, all they do is kick (from basically on their try line to your 22 – how realistic) and you cannot control your fullback early enough to get back and cover it. Against the top teams you will be on attack in their 22, then a turnover, then there will be a lineout 5m from your line. This happens repeatedly. 4. Fourthly, when the opposition kicks deep your fullback will often (automatically) catch the ball with a foot in touch giving the opposition a line out. 5. Don’t make the mistake of taking a mark and then effecting a substitution of the player who took the mark. The game tries to process the substitution immediately and you end up without a player and the ball just hovering in mid air without a player near it. You cannot kick it in time and the opposition gets a free kick. 6. The ball retention of the top teams is ridiculous and unrealistic. I played against South Africa and they went through phases from minute 23 until minute 39 (in a ten minute half). What a joke. I could go on but it would bore you. No thought has been given to this game. It is very very disappointing and frustrating to play. A real waste. Expand
