The consistent thrill of Saints Row IV is how it constantly, eagerly, happily, accommodatingly asks you “Hey, how do you want to break the game now?” And for a game so colossal, so occasionally dumb, so often colossally sharks-with-laser-beams-on-their-heads-that-can-also-breathe-fire-and-fly-and-turn-invisible-and-you-can-even-ride-them dumb, what an incredibly smart thing to do with an open world, a franchise, and a story.
What I love most about IV is how it puts the player first -- absolutely every new feature and ability gifted to the player seems designed purely to make the game more convenient to enjoy, and more fun to play.
I don't know what to say about this game. But Saints Row IV is one of the most craziest, over-the-top, high-defying, grand smashing, and amazing video games I ever played. This is one of my current favorite games on Steam and my most current favorite Saints Row game. I have seen a plumber who can jump high or a hedgehog who goes super fast but I have never seen a street gang leader becoming president of the United States of America.
This game is like Grand Theft Auto added with Prototype, Metal Gear, Streets of Rage, Star Wars, and Star Fox with a sprinkle of Superhero Science Fiction.
The story may be a little insane but this game has returning characters from the old games of Saints Row 1-3 and turning the usual street gang game into a president fighting aliens to avenge earth.
The activities are creative and mostly use superpowers. One of my favorite activities is Fight Club also known as the Super Power Fight Club because you can take on multiple waves of enemies with superpowers and take out bosses that are returning characters
Some costumes in the game maybe have no effects but it's the perfect way to get dressed to kill there are some costumes missing in the inauguration station like the president's suit. But my 2nd favorite is the Nyte Blade outfit because it feels more hack-and-slash-like but a little beat em up
The combat of using melee attacks is fun and usable when I am strong enough. Powers that makes things unbelievably eye-catching, Weapons and weapon are amazing looking while others are just strangely made.
And the best part is that all DLC together with the game is super cheap. It's like buying the tastiest cheapest pizza pie with all toppings.
In conclusion, I 100% recommend playing this game.
Saints Row IV jacks up the action, pumps up the silly, but above all, doesn’t lose sight of what makes a game play superbly, and that, Mr President, is how you make an awesome video game.
Overall Saints Row IV is a marvellously enjoyable game, while still suffering from a few of the complaints that the series has always had. The main quests are great, and although the side missions are not painful to play, they don’t pack the same punch. If you played and enjoyed Saints Row The Third, then picking up this sequel is a must. Equally if you’re looking for a game that lets you act like a badass with special powers, this might be a better superhero game than many others that are actually billed as such.
Insanely funny, wittily insane. That's Saints Row IV. However, it could stop stealing everything it sees around it, because it gets to be quite a mess. [Issue#233]
The game is packed with some great moments that subvert the open-world crime genre even further than SR3 did, it's funny, and its references aren't just lazily tossed off, they're earned. You'll feel like you've played some of this before, but if you're at all interested in Saints Row's brand of weird, it's absolutely vital.
The Saints Row saga can still be considered the most debauched franchise that lovers of free roamers could dream of. It has some good new ideas and the same shortcomings of the previous game, but it's a funny game nonetheless.
its all about humor and entertainment, the game is just gta with superpowers if you didn't play any other saints row game.

-story? It has a story?
-played perfectly for the first chapter. Now randomly loses mouse input. Often. Frequently. And getting worse.
-no longer playable
-8 without the freezes...0 with them
Volition and Deep Silver took a really curvy turn that made the Saints Row series not serious and a clusterf*ck. Only good thing about this game is the graphics, the combat and the humor, which is always great in Saints Row and the fact that it is still playable to some.
