  • Summary: Check it out... We're ToeJam and Earl. And we ran into a small problem. More specifically, a large planet (I shoulda never let Earl drive...). Help us hunt down the pieces to our rocket ship and we'll let you jam out some tunes on our megawatt rapmaster. Deal? WHOAH!! We're bumpin' into some of the weirdest creatures in the universe: Earthlings. Boogie down with bewitching hula girls. Block a nerd herd. Or hurl tomatoes at a crazed dentist with a drill. Split up and scope things out. Or hang together to share your stuff. Pick up presents you can use - like wings, rocket skates and inner tubes. Or ones you'll wish you hadn't opened - like bees, tomato rain and school books. So grab a friend - or join the jamminest party you'll ever play! Expand

$5 for one of the greatest games of all time? Join me in feeling like a thief for having to pay so little to gain so much. When was the last time you put on a little Toejam and Earl, used icarus wings to fly over to level 0 and chill in the hot tub? Don't think that this game has aged poorly because it hasn't. The music is still top-notch and the rougelike-with-presents gameplay is still as fun as it ever was. Expand

Considering this is a game that came from the greatest decade of gaming, the 90's, and not to mention, was, and still is, one of my top ten video games of all time, it's hard to really knock anything about it. The only reason it got a 9/10 was because, though I loved the news that this game would have online, co-op gameplay, it's a tad rough finding someone to play with, and even then, I've had numerous games drop or stall due to internet connections...although that's not their fault. The game was never perfect, but it never fails to entertain. For five bucks, you're doing yourself a disjustice by not buying it. I own the original, but felt obligated to fork over five more dollars, if for no other reason than to show everyone involved that it was a brilliant idea to include this on the PSN with trophies and online capabilities. The next five bucks that falls into your pocket should go straight to picking this gem up, if you haven't played it...unless you didn't like it twenty years ago. This game's a steal! Expand
