A powerhouse of a game and a real boon for the PS3, which is in dire need of some fantastic shooters.
  2. Vehicles, weapons, arenas, controls - it's all very intuitive, could probably survive without the added layers of instruction, and significantly still feels natural when the diversifications from standard multiplayer FPS modes and equipment are asked to work together. Warfare is a splendid mode.
  3. If you have no friends and no broadband connection then UT III will be a snore. When twitching out against opponents around the globe it can be as addictive, and deep, as video games come.
  4. Aside from some online hiccups, it is fast, furious, and fun to play, and never fails to impress from a visual perspective. As a result, it stands up favorably against the other strong multiplayer shooters available on the platform.
  5. With its fast paced action, powerful visuals and some of the best vehicles and weapons ever seen on an online environment, UT III is tailor made for anyone who craves for online competition. [March 2008]
  6. When it is all said and done though, UTIII offers nothing new.

Despite the fact that this game was released in 2007, it hasn't lost much in the passing three years. Quake and Unreal are unlike other games due to the speed so if you like the military shooters like CoD of MoH, then you'd best look elsewhere because you will have your ass handed to you here. With a decent amount of PS3 downloadable content (including Master Chief from the Halo series...if you can find it), Unreal still gives you a something new. If you've just bought your PS3 then it is a must buy game for shooter fans. You'll be able to find it for around $10-15 and you can still find online gamers playing single matches or campaign matches.
I highly recommend this one. Time has not diminished this game in any playable sense.

This game is great its a fast paced first person shooter like team fortress and quake the campaign isn't not very good however because it is the same thing as multiplayer but that's not all bad because the multiplayer is addictive this game has classic unforgettable modes and modes that are unique with all that being said the weapons and vehicles are cool too and every weapon has secondary fire this game is dirt cheap now and worth a buy Expand

unreal is one of thoose games where there is nothing really flashy and it doesnt do really any thing new but it is fun all be it not long term fun . its fast paced action shooting and it does it pretty well. the story mode is a joke its just a playing the maps with a bunch of bots trying to come up with reasons why you should be capturing a Flag .. LOL. i will say though i hate capture the flag in every game ive ever played but this one. i dont love it but i dont mind playing it... i dont know why. there are alot of vehicles and some cool wepons . its not a tactacle thinking mans team based shooter which prefer to play online but this is still fun and if you want some thing simplistic then check it out . wont cost ya more then $5 theese days to do so. It's not the best game of it's kind definitely, I bought it used and there's no regret. The story it's not so good either but I liked the characters, the controls are not so tight as they should be in any FPS, the weapons are not good either, what use do you have for a sniper rifle if all the fighting happens in no more than 40 steps from each other and they are all moving/running targets, the controls for the vehicles are very sloppy too, and don't want to get started on the vehicles they don't fit on the war zone of any map!!! clever uh? and I have to agree with some of the critics this is NOT for FPS veterans. If you are new to FPS this might be entertaining to you. Expand
