It's the same classic Worms gameplay with (optional) gameplay tweaks and a lovely new coat of paint.
  2. Team17 has finally abandoned 3D technology and returns to the good old 2D landscape. Or at least partially. The gameplay is back in its original 2D form, but the graphics are still in 3D, giving the game a nice visual touch. [November 2012, p.93]
  3. The multiple inescapable tutorials that open Worms Revolution's campaign are an ill portent: for series veterans they're insulting, and the new mechanics introduced don't seem like anything special. It's not until you've played a few games and dipped into the campaign proper that the merits of Revolution become clear. [December 2012, p82]
  4. Despite bringing a few fresh nuances to the table, Revolution doesn't exactly live up to its name. [Holiday 2012, p.80]

Worms Revolution is a cute experience, assuming you don't take it too seriously. If you do, it will drive you nuts. This is definitely a game that will appeal more to old-school fans, as newcomers will find the game frustrating due to its control issues. The sad truth is that Team 17's classic strategy series isn't as fun as it used to be – but it's still a decent timewaster if you've got some buddies nearby

I love this game, always have loved worms since it came out, I haven't done multi-player yet, but, when I quickly went onto it, everything seemed alright :) the game is challenging, but, i like a good challenge :) Must Have I Say:D Collapse

This game is amazing, but the multiplayer (the strong point of this game) is BROKEN. The single player is good, but it's extremely difficult. In multiplayer, you can't even join a room because the game freezes. And the patch 1.01 DON'T INSTALL IT because the game will create a new savegame for the 1.01 version of the game, so if you have everything unlocked, the game will not recognize your old savegame and you will lose everything. The 1.01 patch made this game completely useless. Expand
